Sheridan Hills is a diverse community of Christians existing to bring the life changing message of Jesus Christ to the South Florida community. Our mission is GO and make disciples, living out the Great Commission.
Worship
Come worship with us at 9:30 am in the Ministry Center or at 11am in the Worship Center every Sunday morning. In addition to these, we also offer services in Spanish, Creole, and Portugese.

There is something for everyone on Wednesday nights at Sheridan Hills. Our mid-week classes include AWANA for kids, The 705 for youth, and Bible Study for adults. Lottie Moon
Lottie Moon-the namesake of the International Missions Offering-has become something of a legend to us. But in her time Lottie was anything but an untouchable hero. In fact, she was like today's missionaries. She was a hard-working, deep-loving Southern Baptist who labored tirelessly so her people group could know Jesus.
Throughout her career, Lottie Moon wrote numerous letters home, urging Southern Baptists to greater missions involvement and support. One of those letters triggered Southern Baptists' first Christmas offering for International Missions in 1888 a total of $3,315, which was enough to send three new missionaries to China. Today the National Goal of the International Mission Board is $175 Million, all of which goes to support over 5000 missionaries throughout the world

If you are a follower of Jesus, you are part of the task to fulfill the Great Commission.
Paul says, "All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it" (1 Corinthians 12:27). Jesus has commissioned us to be His heart, His hands, His voice. Through praying, giving, and going, Southern Baptists have fulfilled this legacy for more than 160 years.
Yet billions remain lost and time may be running out for them. We must pray more intentionally and give more sacrificially than ever before. Our churches must take direct responsibility for helping reach the nearly 3,800 unengaged, unreached people groups that missionaries may never be able to get to.
Our Goal is $20,000
The Connections Ministry helps people learn about the church, find fellowship in a small group, and discover a place where they can serve. At SHBC, we believe that every member has something to contribute to benefit the entire body and that every member is a minister of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:8-11).
One of the best things you can do to grow as a Christian is to get involved in serving. To help facilitate your growth, we have numerous ministry opportunities that focus within our church, as well as those that focus on the community at
large. You will meet families, make friends, and have a living faith that makes a difference.

Discovering and exercising your God-given spiritual gifts allows you to experience maximum fulfillment with minimum frustration in your Christian life and ministry.
Every Christian has a dominant gift and many possess more than one. Through this analysis, you will find out in which areas you are "less" gifted and will also discover your dominant task-oriented gift.
You may have had an opportunity to inventory your Spiritual Gifts in the past, but we encourage you to take this assessment as you may be surprised to learn what other Spiritual Gifts God has given you! This inventory will take about 20 minutes to complete.

At Sheridan Hills, we believe that big things happen when God's people pray together. Our times of prayer, together as a body of believers, are incredibly important to the life of our church.
As Hebrews 4 instructs us, we are "confidently drawing near to the throne of grace, receiving mercy and finding grace in times of need." All of our ministries meet together once a week for an hour of corporate prayer on Wednesday from 6 to 7pm in the Chapel.

What Does the Bible Say About Giving?
A Promise from God Himself: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10
Be a Cheerful Giver: "...this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Financial Accountability
"We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." 2 Corinthians 8:20-21
Sheridan Hills is committed to honoring God's provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability to ensure that our financial integrity remains above reproach. We accomplish this through a system of internal controls and an internal budgeting and reporting process.
Giving Statements
All donations are held in the strictest confidence.
Statements of Contributions are mailed in January for the prior calendar year. Interim statements are mailed throughout the year to individual donors.
Please note that the church strongly discourages online giving which leads to personal indebtedness.
We encourage online giving only by debit card, E-check draft or with a credit card which is paid-off monthly to avoid incurring interest charges.

Faith Builders exists to bring life to senior adults. Our vision is to grow in the power and fellowship of our Lord Jesus Christ, while sharing His love and redeeming grace so that many in our community would come to experience a personal and intimate relationship with the One True God.

There is something for everyone on Wednesday nights at Sheridan Hills. Churchwide Prayer Meeting in the Chapel at 6 PM. At 7 PM our mid-week classes include AWANA for kids, The 705 for youth, and Bible Study or Choir for adults. In addition to these opportunities, we also offer a variety of different classes and studies throughout the year.
The Thursday "Lunch Bunch" meets at Piccadily Cafeteria at 4500 Hollywood Blvd. for Fellowship, and Bible Study. There is no fixed price as the price is determined by what you get. HizKids Preschool
We are committed to minister to the entire family. We believe that children are a heritage of God and that we have been entrusted with children as a most precious gift. It is a joy for us to join with parents in providing their preschoolers with the physical care and spiritual training that will build within them a love for Jesus, His Word, and His Church. Spiritual development begins at birth, and we provide a well trained staff of teachers and volunteers, to begin planting seeds of spiritual truth in the hearts of preschoolers. Classes are provided for preschool children from Birth through Pre-K4. Children are prepared spiritually to receive Christ by learning His Word through Bible stories, creative crafts, active play, praise and worship, and Bible verse memorization.
Small Group Hour

All preschoolers experience age appropriate Bible learning activities taught by dedicated teachers and volunteers. Activities involve books, puzzles, blocks, home living, nature materials, music, and art. Each session includes a group Bible-story time and craft.
Extended Session (Wee Worship)

Preschoolers are cared for by screened volunteers from the church that work on a rotating schedule. All preschoolers enjoy Bible readings, pre-planned lessons, and crafts that prepare their hearts to receive Christ.
Location
The nursery has recently been remodeled to better meet the needs of both preschoolers and their parents. We now have a secure and spacious lobby for drop off and pick up and as before a security tag is issued to both child and parent. Stop by and visit our newly remodeled facility.
Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe, secure, Christ-centered environment for preschoolers, and to prepare their hearts to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
HisKidz Worship starts off with a Bible Study at 9:30am on Sunday mornings and builds up to a high energy, super fun worship and teaching time for kids K5 - 6th grade. This is a time for kids to have fun, learn God's Word, and passionately worship together in a media-driven, Bible-focused environment. During His Kidz Worship your child will grow in his faith and have fun doing it!
The Edge is a fun and exciting ministry for students in 5th 7th grades. Every Wednesday night, these students come together to learn from Gods Word, play crazy games, and develop great relationships with both each other and their adult leaders. Students spend time all together and in small groups discussing issues relating to where they are in life. Life on The Edge is awesome!
Awana is a National program for 1st-5th graders. It is a time for scripture memorization, team building (through exciting games), and strengthening positive relationships.

Where: The Ministry Center
The Worship Choir helps lead the 11:00am Worship Service each Sunday morning in addition to presenting seasonal productions and community concerts throughout the year. It is a vibrant group of volunteers representing many cultural backgrounds and age groups. Choir membership is open to Christians of high school-age and above who possess a heart for worship and demonstrate vocal competence. There is no audition required. The Worship Choir rehearses in the Chapel at 7:05pm on Wednesday nights and in the Worship Center at 8:30am on Sunday mornings. The Worship Orchestra members provide instrumental support for the 11:00am Worship Service each Sunday morning. The Orchestra is made up of a diverse collection of instruments, including strings, brass, woodwinds, and rhythm section. The rehearsal time is at 8:30am on Sunday mornings in the Worship Center. Our Mission
The Sheridan Hills Performing Arts Academy exists is to enhance our local community by providing individuals of all ages with a wide range of professional and affordable musical instruction. Areas of instruction include studies in vocal technique, music theory, and instrumental performance. Students are provided opportunities to demonstrate their skills by participating in various recitals and other public performances.
